the imperial forces of defense council
6.01
The Empire, recognizing the necessity to defend the rights and privileges of the people of the Occidian Empire, shall establish for itself, a defensive militia comprised of the people of the nation, for its own defense - henceforth called the Imperial Forces of Defense.
6.01.01
The Imperial Forces of Defense shall consist of those military organizations and units that are, under the laws of the Occidian Empire and Grand Republic of Delvera and the regulations promulgated under them, organized for the aid and defense of the state and its citizenry in times of emergency or imminent danger of an emergency, to provide aid and to stand as a relief force during disasters, and to provide security and protection for the government of the Occidian Empire.
6.01.02
The organization of the Imperial Forces of Defense shall conform to and be organized according to the organizational or allowance tables prescribed by the Imperial Crown and Imperial Forces of Defense Council.
6.01.03
In case of an emergency or imminent danger of an emergency, the Emperor, as Commander-in-Chief, may supplement the volunteer forces of the Imperial Forces of Defense, not inconsistent with the laws of the Grand Republic of Delvera, as the exigencies of the occasion requires.
6.01.04
Any organization or conscription may be made either pursuant to, or in advance of, any call or order made by the Supreme Commander of the Delveran Armed Services.
6.02
Membership in the Confederated Forces of Defense shall be voluntary, except in situations where emergency or imminent danger of emergency requires the temporary conscription of the citizenry.
6.02.01
All citizens of majority age shall be eligible for membership in the Imperial Forces of Defense.
6.02.02
No citizen shall be denied membership on the basis of sex, gender, ethnicity, race, religion, or sexual orientation.
6.02.03
All prospective candidates shall be required to meet the same physical and mental standards for membership.
6.02.04
All members of the Imperial Forces of Defense shall receive training and compensation pursuant to the exercise of their role in the Imperial Forces of Defense, to be determined by the Crowns.
6.03
All commissioned and warrant officers of the Imperial Forces of Defense shall be appointed by the Imperial Forces of Defense Council and shall be commissioned or warranted according to grade under the regulations of the Crowns.
6.03.01
No officer shall be commissioned or warranted until the officer has successfully passed tests as to the physical, moral, and professional fitness as prescribed by regulations promulgated under provincial law for recognition as a commissioned or warrant officer.
6.04
The Imperial Forces of Defense shall be administered by a council of military and political leaders, known as the Imperial Forces of Defense Council.
6.04.01
The Emperor shall chair the Imperial Forces of Defense Council and stand as Commander-in-Chief of the Imperial Forces of Defense, and shall be responsible for determining the agenda and aims of the Imperial Forces of Defense Council, the performance and approval of various military actions when in actual service, and for the performance of various traditions and customs.
6.04.02
The Kings in the Empire shall co-chair the council, whose responsibilities shall be to aid the Sovereign in the performance of all functions which progress the traditions, awards, and honors, and to uphold the values of the Imperial Forces of Defense.
6.04.03
The Kings in the Empire shall appoint to the Council a General Inspector of the Imperial Forces of Defense, as well as other certain officers, to represent and advise the chair and commander-in-chief on the expertise and interests of the various constituencies of the militia, and to recommend rules and regulations for their organization and training.
6.04.04
The General Inspector of the Imperial Forces of Defense shall be responsible for ensuring the performance of the Imperial Forces of Defense in its duties and carrying out the military decisions laid out by the Imperial Forces of Defense Council.
