First on the docket was the "Criminal Code", sponsored by Mr. Nichols-Kaufman and co-sponsored by Rev. Marx. At Rev. Marx's behest, the "Criminal Code" was moved into a committee for refinement and rewriting to ensure the document is up-to-date and within the bounds of North American and Delveran law and custom. No date has been set for the committee meeting at this time.
Next was the "National Honors and Peerage Act". Sponsored by Rev. Marx, this bill would reorganize the honors and award system of the North American Confederation, whilst at the same time reforming the peerage and nobility system of the nation and the Imperial Family. The Prime Minister has expressed his desire in the past of using these reforms to help establish honors and award system to promote the cultural and economic development of the nation as a whole.
The "National Honors and Peerage Act" passed 2-0, with one abstention in absentia and will now move the Prime Minister and the Emperor for signing.
Finally, Prime Minister Marx presented his 2019 National Resolution, an annual speech before the nation outlining his agenda and goals for the coming year.
A full transcription of the speech will be posted following this post.
No date for the 4th session has yet been announced, though the "National Honors and Peerage Act" does specify that all current honors and awards must be approved by its new rules to be considered still valid.
