Early this morning, on the 23rd of April, the Prime Minister formally announced, to the press of the Confederation, the appointment of Field Marshall Friedrich Albrecht von Aurora to the position of the General Inspector of the Armed Forces, a position formally held in conjunction with the Minister of Defense. Field Marshall von Aurora is an associate of the Emperor from the US state of Alaska and was appointed on the 20th of April to become General Inspector. Defense Minister Benning will continue to hold the position of Minister of Defense.
Besides formally recognizing the appointment of Field Marshall von Aurora, the Prime Minister announced the replacement of Deputy Prime Minister Kasey Honings in favor of Greene political activist, Amanda McCollum. Ms. McCollum has long expressed interest in participating in the national politics of the Confederation and Deputy Minister Honings' continued inactivity has begun to have a critical impact on the overall efficiency of the His Majesty's Government.
At the conclusion of his announcement, the Prime Minister also hinted at recent developments in the territorial departments, leading to rumors of major Land Claim reform and expansion. This is in the wake of several international controversies and territorial disputes. The Prime Minister and Emperor have both been in long-standing conversations with the King of Ruthenia and First Consul of Delvera, though the precise content of these talks is still classified.
