Ms. McCollum expressed her desire to retire from micronational political life on the 2nd of December. She admitted that she had never really had much interest in the political functions of the micronation, preferring the advancements being made in the private sector over governmental reforms.
Prime Minister Marx had this to say on Ms. McCollum's tenure as Deputy Prime Minister, "She was a moderating voice within my administration. An objective observer that provided wise counsel, even if her interests were not in the micronational politics. She served because she was needed, not because she wanted. While I shall hope for her counsel in the future, I am proud to have served alongside her."
Prime Minister Marx has not announced any possible candidates to replace Ms. McCollum. Amanda McCollum previously replaced Kasey Honings as Deputy Prime Minister on the 23rd of April, 2016.
